Hello!! My name is Marilu Brewer. I grew up here in Monteagle. I went to school here and loved my time as a hornet. I love teaching in my home school! It holds a special place in my heart! I have been married to my husband, Kyle, for 17 years now. He works for the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI). We have three beautiful and amazing daugthers. Harper and Hazely are in 6th grade and Emarie is in 2nd grade. I love having my children in school with me. We live by the hornet rule…once a hornet, ALWAYS a hornet!
I attended Maryville College where I graduated with a degree in Child Development and Learning. I received my Master’s degree from University of Phoenix in Elementary Education. I have also received a second Master’s in Instructional Learning with an Administrative License from Austin Peay State University. Lastly, I graduated with a Education Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction from William Carey University.
I have taught for fifteen years, 14 of which have been at MES and one year in Murfreesboro. Math is my teaching educational language!
